Divisive
The President's and Congress's "economic stimulus package" is an extremely divisive move.
It has divided the country into two classes. Those who will be getting these checks, and those who won't be.
While it's called a "tax refund" it's anything but! The people who pay the majority of taxes in the United States will receive nothing! Not a penny. In fact, the group of people who are ineligible to receive this refund pay over 50% of the taxes! And the Democrats insisted that even people who paid no tax get this "tax refund", too!
To make it clear, I don't want anyone to get these checks. If we want to lower taxes, lower taxes! Handing out money is inflationary. And inflation is a tax on people who have saved money. (The "War on Savings" Get it?)
We have zero faith that these handouts will stimulate the economy. They'll either go to buy Chinese imports (see inset on left) or will get people deeper into debt!
Here's a picture to make it clear. Speaker Nancy Pelosi was especially proud of the fact that her "tax refund" actually pays money to people who paid no taxes. I was able to take a photo of her (below) robbing me!
